A gift from your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), pension, or other tax-deferred retirement plan is a simple way to help homeless pets while maximizing the impact of your assets.

If you don’t expect to use all your retirement savings during your lifetime, consider allocating the remainder to help animals in need. These gifts can include retirement accounts, health savings accounts, donor-advised funds, and financial accounts like CDs, savings, and checking accounts with Transfer on Death (TOD) or Payment on Death (POD) designations.
